Living downtown is all about urban energy. However, it is important to sometimes relax and connect with nature, and the convenient location of the 100 Bond building allows you to do that in no time. Let’s take a look at some of the closest parks and green zones around it.

1. Oshawa Valley Botanical Gardens

One of the most beautiful green places in the city, Oshawa Valley Botanical Gardens, is within a 5-minute bike ride from 100 Bond. Famous for their peony collection of over 300 varieties, which they present at a special festival in June, this is a perfect place for a family-friendly time, offering playgrounds and open picnic spots. Besides peonies, they display other flower collections throughout the year, as well as a beautiful memory garden and architectural highlights, like the Rotary Bridge.

2. Memorial Park

At a 10-minute walking distance, there is a beautiful Memorial Park. While it is one of the smaller city parks, it is still a wonderful green zone in the heart of downtown. Inside it stands the McLaughlin Bandshell, a gift from Colonel R.S. McLaughlin and the longtime home of the Oshawa Civic Band. It is a simple but cozy park, just a few blocks south of 100 Bond.
