Living at 100 Bond is not only about being in downtown Oshawa and enjoying the amenities and infrastructure of the city center. It’s about enjoying the whole year – 365 days full of events and seasonal activities – all within a short distance of the 100 Bond building. Let’s take a look at some of the most interesting seasonal events in Oshawa.

Late spring/Early summer – The Peony Festival

Taking place in Oshawa Valley Botanical Gardens (just a 5-minute bike ride away), this festival features a display of more than 300 peony varieties. It takes place in the first week of June and makes the perfect transition between spring and summer. This festival is one of the most beautiful and versatile, allowing you to enjoy it as a family-friendly festival or a romantic adventure.

Summer – Kars on King

One of the most authentic celebrations, Kars on King is an event that brings hundreds of classic cars to be displayed on the streets of Oshawa. It is an event with a long history that holds a special place in the heart of every Oshawa citizen. The live music performances, vintage vehicles, and festive spirit create a unique experience worth enjoying.

Autumn – Convergence Music & Art Festival

The festival combines live music on two stages, art performances, public galleries, and a marketplace with handmade items by local creators. In 2025, the band The Valley was a headliner for the festival, and altogether the festival drew over 20,000 people. All of that takes place in the city core, not far from the 100 Bond building.

Winter – Bright and Merry Market

The winter in Oshawa is magical in itself, and these feelings are encapsulated in the celebrations of Christmas and the New Year. However, before that, the winter season opens with the Bright and Merry Market. Taking place at City Hall and Memorial Park (a 10-minute walk away), this event features local vendors with festival foods, handmade items and hot chocolate stations. Downtown is illuminated with lights and turns into a magical scene filled with warmth.
